Cause 1 This condition may be caused by Fuel leaking at the Fuel/Water Separator Drain Plug Seal as shown in the photo. Cause 2 This condition may be caused by a fuel leak along the Fuel/Water Separator Body. Correction 1 5617297 If the source of the Fuel Leak is from the drain plug/seal, replace the drain plug and seal. ⇒ Tighten the fuel filter drain plug to 1.6 N m (14 lb in). Correction 2 Copyright 2020 General Motors LLC. All Rights Reserved. If the source of the fuel leak is along the Fuel Separator Body, please replace the Fuel Filter/Water Separator Assembly. Refer to Fuel Filter Assembly Replacement in SI.
