Technical Service Bulletin Mazda North American Operations Irvine, CA 92618-2922 Subject: FRONT RADAR SYSTEM MALFUNCTION MESSAGE WITH DTC C1A67:04 Bulletin No.: 15-002/20 Last Issued: 08/21/2020 BULLETIN NOTES This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted below in Red. Previously Issued TSBs Date(s) Issued 15-002/20 07/15/20 and 07/07/20 APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS 2019-2020 Mazda3 (Japan built) with VINS lower than JM1BP******176445 (produced before Apr. 17, 2020) 2019-2020 Mazda3 (Mexico built) with VINS starting with 3MZB 2020 CX-30 DESCRIPTION Some vehicles equipped with Smart Brake Support (SBS) may exhibit a front radar system malfunction message in the instrument cluster with DTC C1A67:04 (front radar sensor internal malfunction) stored in memory. This may be caused by water penetrating into the front radar sensor through the breather hole when exposed to a great amount of water and damaging the radar sensor, resulting in the DTC C1A67:04. To eliminate this concern, the front radar sensor has been modified. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify customer concern. 2. Replace the front radar sensor with a modified one, according to the instructions on MGSS.
