There is a possibility that some of the surface coating on the rear coil springs was not applied
according to specifications on the affected vehicles.
As a result, the rear coil springs can become corroded over the service life of the vehicle.
Remedial
Action:
Check surface coating on the rear coil springs and replace both coil springs if necessary.

springs.

Clean the upper area (2 coils) of both rear coil springs using a clean cloth if necessary.

color (silver) is shining through the surface coating (black).
