Brand Quality has decided to place the LF4 3.6L Twin Turbocharged engine on a
restriction with the General Motors Technical Assistance Center
Cause
Inventory Control and unneeded engine replacements
Correction:
Brand Quality has instituted a TAC based engine restriction on the LF4 twin Turbo engine. If you believe you have
one of these engines that needs to be replaced, please call TAC and start a case at which time TAC will determine
if we need to replace the engine or if further inspections are needed.
NOTE: On 2016 ATS-V vehicles please follow the latest version of PIP5680 prior to calling TAC.
If TAC determines an engine is needed, we will order it through the special parts request system.
