Symptom-based workshop manual Service 142/20 ENU 4000 4 Noise Symptom - Rear Shock Absorber Rattling: Replacing Rubber Stops (SY 142/20) Model Line: Macan (95B) Model Year: As of 2019 Equipment: 4 corner air suspension with electrically regulated damping (I-no. 1BK) Subject: Shock absorber Symptom: Rattling noises can be heard from the rear axle area when driving on uneven surfaces, e.g. pot holes, bumps, etc. Cause: The noise is caused by the additional springs with dust boot that can slip out of the shock absorber mounting when driving on roads with uneven surfaces.
