Noise Symptom - Rear Shock Absorber Rattling: Replacing Rubber Stops (SY 142/20)

Subject:
Shock absorber
Symptom:
Rattling noises can be heard from the rear axle area when driving on uneven surfaces, e.g. pot holes,
bumps, etc.
Cause:
The noise is caused by the additional springs with dust boot that can slip out of the shock absorber
mounting when driving on roads with uneven surfaces.
Remedial
Action:
In the event of a customer complaint, replace the rubber stop, see
