Client states that corrosion is present on the trunk lid, at or near the rear combination lamps, circled in Figure 1.

ACTION
1. Repair the trunk lid as needed.
2. Add the rubber spacers and the washers, listed in the PARTS INFORMATION on page 3, to the rear
combination lamps.

successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the rear combination lamps from the trunk lid.

For the procedure to remove the combination lamps, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM):
section DRIVER CONTROLS > EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM > LED HEADLAMP > REMOVAL
AND INSTALLATION > REAR COMBINATION LAMP.
2.
Repair the trunk lid finish as needed.
3.
Apply one (1) rubber spacer onto the top of each combination lamp in the area shown in Figure 2.


Add two (2) washers to each combination lamp; one (1) to each threaded stud where shown in Figure 3.

5.
Reinstall the rear combination lamps to the trunk lid.

For the procedure to reinstall the combination lamps refer, to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM):
section DRIVER CONTROLS > EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM > LED HEADLAMP > REMOVAL
AND INSTALLATION > REAR COMBINATION LAMP.
