A/C compressor oil – POE (Polyol Ester)
Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) are equipped with R1234YF and POE compressor oil –
*It is critical to have a dedicated A/C machine in the workshop for BEV vehicles which are equipped
R1234YF and POE oil. This machine must be easily identified. For example but not limited to clear
identifiable labelling applied to the machine to ensure it is not used for other vehicles.*
**R1234YF and PAG compressor oil – cannot share the same machine as R1234YF and POE
compressor oil.**

1234YF has specific needs to introduce POE oil into the system when performing certain A/C repairs.
Robinair 42-18470 labelled for POE only is required for introducing /adding oil
Mahle Aftermarket Service Solutions (RTI) is available as an option
POE Starter Oil Injection Kit 4oz.
