Cause Technician's my nd DTC P0708 in the transmission control module. Correction: Diagnostics should begin by asking the customer if they have had any concerns with the engine cranking slowly or does not crank at all while attempting to start the vehicle. Review the freeze frame data for the P0708 code to see if the system voltage was low when the code set. If the system voltage was low in the freeze frame data or the customer had a concern with the while starting the vehicle charge the battery and perform a battery test. If the battery fails the battery test replace the battery and clear the code then test drive the vehicle. If the code does not reset release the vehicle to the customer. If no concerns were found with the battery, monitor the transmission range sensor data range, should read between 7 to 93 percent. Drive the vehicle to get the transmission uid temperature up to operating temperature. If the transmission range sensor reading stays between 7 to 93 percent release the vehicle to the customer. If the transmission range sensor reading do not stay between 7 to 93 percent try disconnecting and reconnecting the pass through to engine harness connector. If the issue returns following reconnection, replace the transmission pass through internal harness.
