Some 2020 model year Toyota vehicles equipped with JBL amplifiers may exhibit no sound in all
modes, an intermittent loud popping noise, and/or static noise coming from the speakers. Updated
amplifiers are available through the exchange program to address this condition. Follow the
Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.

Repair Procedure
1. Confirm the vehicle exhibits no sound in all modes, an intermittent loud popping noise, and/or
static noise coming from the speakers.
Does the vehicle exhibit ANY of the conditions mentioned above?

YES — Continue to step 2.

NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.
2. Remove the stereo component amplifier assembly.
