Service
Audi of America is requesting your cooperation in supplying us with technical information regarding this
condition.
1. Perform the following steps:
A). Record all measured value blocks (MVB) of the battery regulation control module, J840 (address word
008C), and the high-voltage battery charger control module, J1050 (address word 00C6), then disconnect
the scan tool from the vehicle.

Charge indicator may be solid green, pulsing green or off. Next, open the door and take pictures of the
remaining charging time in the instrument cluster.
C). While at full charge, take a picture of the charge level indicator in the cluster showing the LEDs currently
illuminated.
D). Again record all of the measured value blocks (MVB) of the battery regulation control module, J840
(address word 008C), and the high-voltage battery charger control module, J1050 (address word 00C6).
2. Perform the battery classification test plan and take pictures of the white battery label on the HV battery
housing.
3. Create a TAC Web ticket and attach the following:
 GFF paperless IDs of MVBs.
 Diagnostic log.
