SERVICE BULLETIN APPLICABILITY: 2013-14MY Legacy and Outback 2015MY Impreza 2015MY Crosstrek SUBJECT: NUMBER: 06-80-20 DATE: 10/08/20 DTC C0075 Repair Information INTRODUCTION: This bulletin announces a change to the internal logic of the ABS / VDC Hydraulic Control Unit. The change was made to address isolated concerns of the ABS and / or VDC warning lamp(s) coming on in error and setting a DTC C0075:in memory. A logic change was made to optimize the failure detection criteria. The repair involves replacement of the ABS / VDC Hydraulic Control Unit as the unit’s software cannot be reprogrammed. PART INFORMATION: REMINDER: Always order the most up-to-date replacement parts based on the specific VIN being repaired. Description HYDRAULIC UNIT ASSY V/CONT Part Number Application 27596AJ04C 2013-14MY Legacy / Outback 27596FJ231 2015MY Impreza / Crosstrek SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION: REMINDER: Customer satisfaction and retention starts with performing quality repairs. VERY IMPORTANT: Service Manual diagnosis for C0075 MUST be completed to rule out other possible cause(s) for the DTC BEFORE replacing the ABS / VDC Hydraulic Control Unit. The service procedures for replacing the ABS / VDC Hydraulic Control Unit remain unchanged. Always refer to the applicable Service Manual and review the full requirements of the repair being performed. The Service Manual procedures contain information critical to performing an effective repair the first time, every time. This includes but is not limited to important SAFETY precautions, proper inspection criteria, necessary special tools, required processes needed for a complete and lasting repair.
