Improper Up Shift With Paddle Shift
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing both steering wheel paddle shifter.

America, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 SRT
Engine (Sales Code ESD or ESJ) or 6.4L V8 SRT HEMI Engine (Sales code ESG or
ESH).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience the following:
• When trying to upshift using the paddle shifter on the steering, the transmission will downshift
instead.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer describes the symptom/condition listed above, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE: Both left and right paddle shifter needs to be replaced at the same time.
1. Replace both the left and right paddle shifter. Refer to the detailed service procedures available
in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info>08 - Electrical / 8A - Audio/Video/
Entertainment/Connectivity / Switch, Remote Radio / Removal and Installation.
