Model Year: As of 2019 up to 2020 Vehicle Type: Macan (95B) Country/Market: USA (C02) Canada (C36) Equipment: Front gray cast-iron brake discs (I-no. 1LE) Subject: Front brake pads Information: Squealing noises can be heard from the front axle area when you press the brake. Remedial Action: Check the brakes for significant signs of wear and damage. If wear or damage can be ruled out as the cause, install ECE brake pads (I-no. 1LA). They are directional and need to be installed accordingly. • The use of ECE brake pads can result in more brake dust. • New brake pads need a bedding-in time of approx. 200 km (125 miles). Only then, they do achieve their best friction coefficient and wear values. • The pedal feel or braking effect can change slightly when using ECE brake pads.
