Some 2020 – 2021 model year C-HR, RAV4, RAV4 HV, Sequoia, Tundra and 2021 model year
Avalon, Avalon HV, Prius, Prius Prime, and RAV4 Prime vehicles may exhibit inoperative Apple
CarPlay® with all iPhone® 12 models. An updated USB port is available to address this condition.
Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
 This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
 Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in
this bulletin.

Repair Procedure
1. Confirm the condition exists.
Does the vehicle exhibit inoperative Apple CarPlay® ONLY with all iPhone® 12 models?

YES — Continue to step 2.

NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.
2. Remove the stereo jack adapter assembly.
