Some 2016 – 2021 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a condition in which the wireless
phone charger assembly rubber pad is deformed. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to
address this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
 This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
 Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in

Does the vehicle exhibit a condition in which the wireless phone charger assembly rubber pad
is deformed?

YES — Continue to step 2.

NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.

Remove the wireless charger assembly.
NOTICE
Ensure the engine is OFF.
Refer to TIS, applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

2016 – 2021 Tacoma:
Vehicle Interior – Power Outlets (Int.) – “Other System: Wireless Charger
Assembly: Removal”
Remove the charger unit from the mobile
wireless charger panel.
A. Remove the four screws.

B. Disconnect the electrical connector
to remove the charger unit.

Ensure the wiring is positioned ENTIRELY INSIDE the mobile wireless charger to
prevent damage.
