2021 VW Maintenance Schedule – Electric Models MY 2021 Maintenance Intervals - USA The intervals shown in this table are based on vehicles operating under normal conditions. In case of severe conditions, such as extremely low temperatures, excessive dust, etc., it is necessary for certain operations to be carried out in between the given intervals. Record tread depth Guided Fault Finding: Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to check for, resolve, and clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes that may be present Standard Maintenance (Includes All Minor Maintenance Items) Battery, 12 Volt: Checking with battery tester if necessary Battery, High-voltage: Check charge level and charge as necessary Body Interior and Exterior: Check for corrosion Brake fluid: Check level depending on brake wear Brake Pads (Front and Rear): Check thickness and brake disc condition. Look for contact pattern and corrosion of brake discs Brake System and Shock Absorbers: Check for leaks and damage Charging cable: Check that the cable is present and check condition of the cable Coil Springs and Rubber Stop Buffers: Inspect for damage Cooling System: Check frost protection and coolant level Exterior lighting: Check function of front and rear lights, headlights (adjust if necessary), automatic headlights (if equipped), turn signals, cornering lights, and hazard warning lights Guided Fault Finding: Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to check for, resolve, and clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes that may be present Headlight Washing System: Check function (if equipped) High-voltage Charging Sockets in Radiator Grille and Filler Cap: Inspect for dirt, debris, and damage High-voltage components and High-voltage Cables: Inspect for damage and correct routing and securing Horn: Check function Interior lighting: Check function of headliner, luggage compoartment and glove compartment Motor and Motor compartment components (from above): Check for leaks and damage Motor and Motor compartment components (from below): Check related components including transmission, final drive, and drive axle boots for leaks and damage 1 1/5/2021 Standard Maintenance (continued) Service interval display: Reset Suspension and Steering: Check ball joints, wheel bearings, drive axles, coupling rods, tie rod ends, and stabilizer bar rubber bushings for damage and excessive play. Test Drive: Check braking, steering, electrical, heating/ventilation systems, air conditioning, handling, and parking brake Tire pressure: Check LF________ RF________ LR ________ RR ________ Spare ________ Tire Repair Kit: Check for damage and prior use Tires: Check condition and wear pattern.
