This is to revise and replace ATC 2326, dated 05-May-20. This revision is to:
1 Update the Actions, and
2 update the SRT list.
If additional information is required, please contact your Cummins Warranty Operations Group Leader.
DESCRIPTION:
This ATC is being issued to address heat exchanger main support bracket mounting hardware failures on certain L9
CM2350 L116B/123B engines. This ATC authorizes the replacement of current mounting hardware with grade 10
bolts.
NOTE: This field action provides for retroactive coverage for repairs completed by Cummins authorized repair
locations in anticipation of and prior to the release date of this publication.
ACTION:
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1 will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2 must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action.
NOTE: The ESN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1 Replace Heat Exchanger Main Support Bracket Mounting bolts with updated part numbers. Please refer to
Procedure 008-053 Heat Exchanger in L9 CM2350 L123B Transit Bus Applications Service Manual (5411465).
NOTE: If there are broken bolts that require an extraction, claim SRT 22-502 for each extraction. Otherwise
claim 99-009 for Qty 1 for hardware removal.
MATERIAL DISPOSITION:
Where applicable, items removed should be returned to ReCon for core credit. Unless otherwise indicated, items with
no core liability can be scrapped.
