ISX12 G CM2180 EJ
Issue
Exhaust gas temperature fault codes will not clear after repairs are made.
Symptom:
Any combination of Fault Codes 1665, 1666, 1674, 1675 will not clear after repairs are complete.
Engine contains a CM2380 ECM and appropriate engine control module (ECM) calibration code.
Root Cause:
This is the result of a known software issue in CM2380 compatible ECM calibrations codes for the ISX12 G engine.
Verification
Verify Fault Code 1665, 1666, 1674, or 1675 is active and will not clear after repairs are complete.
Verify ECM is a CM2380.

Resolution
To correct the issue:
Use the recommended Cummins® electronic service tool or equivalent to calibrate the ECM with the latest calibration from
QuickServe® Online (QSOL).
Follow the instructions under the “Conditions for setting the Fault Code” section in the applicable Fault Code Overview Page.
Verify that Fault Codes 1665, 1666, 1674, and 1675 are inactive.
Service Instructions
Any time an active fault 1665, 1666, 1674, or 1675 is logged on ISX12 G engines with CM2380 ECMs, this problem will occur. The
latest ECM calibration code must be installed or reinstalled after the repair is complete. Installing an ECM calibration code will allow
the fault code diagnostics to run and clear the fault code.
