Tech Tip T-TT-0635-20 Subject December 10, 2020 Market USA Front Brake Vibration Service Category Section Brake Brake (front) Applicability 18-21MY Tundra APPLICABLE VEHICLES 2018-2021 Tundra CONDITION Some 2018-2021 model year Tundra vehicles may exhibit a front vibration when braking. RECOMMENDATIONS Confirm the brake vibration is coming from the front of the vehicle and not the rear. If vibration occurs from the front of the vehicle, verify the vehicle meets ALL of the following criteria: 1) Mileage is under 20,000 miles 2) Vehicle has not had previous front brake repairs (all OE) performed such as a. Have not cut or replaced front discs b. No brake pads replaced, etc. If the vehicle meets the above criteria, proceed to the next step. If the vehicle DOES NOT meet the above criteria, proceed to diagnose and repair the vehicle using the applicable repair manual. If vehicle meets the above criteria, create a TAS case and please include if the vehicle is equipped with aftermarket tires and/or wheels and all diagnosis steps performed. TAS will provide further instruction. If it is a Sunday or holiday, continue with diagnosis and repair, save all parts and details (including pictures), and contact TAS at the next available opportunity.
