CAMPAIGN BULLETIN QUALITY ACTION Right Side Wheel Nut Inspection Dealer Inventory Reference: PC790 Date: January 28, 2021 Attention: Dealer Principal, Sales, Service & Parts Managers Affected Models/Years: Affected Population: Dealer Inventory: SERVICE COMM Activation date: Stop Sale In Effect: NA 12 January 28, 2021 YES MY2021 Rogue (T33) *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory quality action to inspect the right side front and rear wheel and tire assembly wheel nuts and, if necessary, replace with the correct wheel nuts on 12 specific model year 2021 Rogue vehicles identified in Service Comm. Due to a manufacturing concern that has since been resolved, the installed wheel nuts may not meet Nissan’s design specifications for the Rogue. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. PC790 • New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information • Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Please do not drive, loan, sell or trade the specific vehicles in Dealer Inventory subject to this quality action. 3. Use the attached procedure to inspect the right side wheel nuts and, if necessary, remedy any vehicles affected by this quality action. 4. Once remedied, dealers may submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed and release the vehicle. Aftersales DIVISION ***** Scroll down for attached Repair Instructions ***** PC790 - 2021 ROGUE WHEEL NUT INSPECTION Service Procedure 1. Inspect both RH front and rear wheel and tire assembly wheel nuts. Vehicle should be equipped with wheel nuts shown in Figure 1 and Figure 3 Figure 1 Figure 2 OK NG Figure 3 Figure 4 1/2 PC790 2. Are the RH side front and rear wheels equipped with the wheel nuts shown in Figure 1 and Figure 3? If the RH wheels are equipped with the correct wheel nuts, no further action is needed. If the vehicle is found to have the wheel nuts shown in Figure 2 and Figure 4, continue to Step 3 for wheel nut replacement. 3. Place the vehicle on a lift and lift about halfway. 4. Remove the wheel nuts from the RH side front and rear wheel and tire assemblies. 5. Install NEW wheel nuts to both RH side front and rear wheel and tire assemblies and torque to 112.55 N●m (11 kg-m, 83 ft-lb). 6. Lower the vehicle and proceed to claims information section below.
