Symptom/Vehicle Issue: MOPAR Trailer Brake Accessory Kit And Instructions
Discussion:
Several techs have contacted technical support with questions on the installation of the
trailer brake kit. For JT Models : disregard ADH sales code references in the early
version instructions. Optional harness 82216416AA referenced in instruction sheets is
for JL Wrangler only without production trailer tow. It does not apply to JT. Instructions
are currently in the process of being updated.
If the JT is built prior to Jan 2020 and has one or several of the below DTC’s after
installing either Mopar or aftermarket trailer brake controller, do not replace the trailer
brake kit or components for these DTC’s. Review released service bulletins.

B1783-01 Stop Lamp Control-General Electrical Failure
U0415-00 Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module
