Customer states:
 The lane departure warning (aLDW) is sporadically not available.
 When attempting to activate the aLDW system, the following message is displayed in the instrument cluster,
“Lane departure warning: function requiring license not purchased/expired. See owner’s manual.”
Workshop findings:
 This issue usually cannot be reproduced and occurs only sporadically while driving.
Technical Background
A parameter setting/coding in driver assist systems control module, J1121 needs to be updated.
Production Solution
New Target Data Container (ZDC) update in the driver assistance systems control module, J1121 (address word
00A5) addressed the condition.
