Case Number: S2018000013 Release Date: 12/04/2020 Symptom/Vehicle Issue: The concern includes the MIL/Check Engine lamp on. Upon further investigation there will be a fault code for P1300-00-FLYWHEEL SELF LEARNING – EOL active in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Repair: Perform a “Phonic Wheel Reset” with the scan tool. The "Phonic Wheel Reset" procedure can be found under PCM>Miscellaneous Menu Option. Follow the on screen instructions. Note: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE VEHICLE’S BATTERY FOR ANY REASON FOR A MINIMUM OF 25 MINUTES AFTER PERFORMING THE RESET PROCEDURE. DOING SO MAY CAUSE THE PCM TO BECOME UNRESPONSIVE. If the P1300 is still present after performing the “Phonic Wheel Reset” procedure, perform the published diagnostic procedure located in Service Library for the fault code.
