Condition
During and after racetrack use, loud knocking, creaking and groaning noises sometimes emit from the front and rear wheel assemblies;
especially while cornering.
Technical Background
Relative movement of the wheel hub, brake rotor and wheel produce the noise. Dirt. Debris, surface corrosion and excess wheel nut lubricant facilitate this movement. An improperly tightened central locking nut may contribute as well.
Service Information
Follow Special Service Instructions SY 105/18, Noise Symptom - Noise from Rear Axle Wheel Assembly.
