Page 1 of 2 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 2020 Mustang GT500 - Illuminated Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Indicator With DTC P175E And/Or P0874 Stored In The TCM 212059 02 March 2021 Model: Ford 2020 Mustang GT500 Issue: Some 2020 Mustang GT500 vehicles may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P175E and/or P0874 set in the transmission control module (TCM). This may be due to the transmission fluid pressure sensor parameters set in the TCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to check the transmission fluid pressure sensor and reprogram the TCM. Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria: • 2020 Mustang GT500 • Illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with DTC P175E and/or P0874 Warranty Status: Eligible under provisions of New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)/Service Part Warranty (SPW)/Special Service Part (SSP)/Extended Service Plan (ESP) coverage. Limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. NVLW/SPW/SSP/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool. Repair/Claim Coding Causal Part: 7003 Condition Code: 42 Service Procedure 1. Was DTC P0874 retrieved from the TCM? (1). Yes - proceed to Step 2. (2). No, only DTC P175E - proceed to Step 3. 2. Using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS), read TCM data identifier (DID) 1E1A and verify the pressure measured at engine off is less than 3.0 bar on the transmission pressure sensor. Is the transmission pressure sensor reading less than 3.0 bar? (1). Yes - proceed to Step 3. (2).
