* * TECHNICAL INFORMATION NOTICE * * DATE: March 30, 2021 TO: Mitsubishi Motors US Service and Parts Managers RE: 2022 Outlander - Lane Departure Warning Switch TIN NO. TIN-21-54A-001 AFFECTED VEHICLES: 2022 Outlander PURPOSE: Delivering a new vehicle in showroom condition and trouble-free is critical to building a longterm relationship with your customers. This will give the new owner more reason to return to your store for their first service – experience the exception customer service that you provide – leading to long term service retention! The all-new 2022 Outlander is available with a highly desired feature - Lane Departure Warning System (LDW). This system is defaulted to “OFF” from the factory and will arrive at the Port of Entry and your dealership with the LDW turned "OFF". Please follow the procedure below to turn the LDW warning system "ON" during PDI. Thank you for your attention to this important matter. PROCEDURE: Vehicle preparation includes the following: • Engage Ignition Off Draw (IOD) switch • Place the Ignition switch to "ON" position • Take the actions illustrated below to move through the menu and make the necessary selections: Page 1 of 4 (5082) Action Results Press the right arrow until Driver Assistance Icon is blue Scroll up until Driver Assistant Function Status appears as seen in bottom right image Page 2 of 4 (5082) Action Results OFF Page 3 of 4 (5082) Action Results ON Return to MENU screen (click 3 times) Page 4 of 4 LDW Switch ON (5082)
