IF YOU CONFIRM
When a center or corner sonar sensor in an Applied Vehicle is close to an object while the sonar system is ON:

The sonar indicator will appear on the display screen in green, then yellow, but does not change to red
no matter how close the object is.

Perform the Service Procedure beginning on page 2 to configure the sonar system.

You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to
successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Before starting, make sure:

ASIST on the CONSULT PC has been synchronized (updated) to the current date.

All CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) software updates (if any) have been installed.
1.
Confirm the shift selector is in Park, and the parking brake is set.
2.
Connect the CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) VI to the vehicle.
3.
Launch C-III plus on the CONSULT PC.
4.
Cycle the ignition to ON. DO NOT start the engine.
5.
Select Re/programming Configuration.

Read the Precautions.
When finished, touch the “Confirmed
instructions” box to insert a check mark,
then select Next.

Select the Manual Selection(Vehicle
Name) tab, then select the applicable
Model and Year.
NOTE: If the screen shown in Figure 5
does not display, proceed to step 10.

Select Select.

Confirm the correct Vehicle Name and
Model Year are displayed.
When finished, select Confirm.

After system call completes, confirm
the correct VIN is displayed.
When finished, select Confirm.
NOTE: If the VIN displayed is incorrect,
input the correct VIN. When finished,
select Confirm.
