Service Technical Information 55/21 ENU 1378 1 Removing and Installing Drive Belt: Observe Specified Procedure (55/21) Vehicle Type: Panamera Turbo (971)/Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid (971)/Panamera GTS (971) Cayenne Turbo (9YA/9YB)/Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (9YA/9YB)/Cayenne GTS (9YA/9YB) Model Year: As of 2017 Equipment: 8-cylinder gasoline engines Concerns: Belt tensioner Information: Internal tests have shown that the dust boot on the belt tensioner can be damaged by relieving the tension on the belt tensioner too much (fully) when removing or installing the drive belt. For this reason, when removing and installing the drive belt, make sure that you only relieve the tension on the belt tensioner as much as required to allow you to remove and install the drive belt. There is no need to relieve the tension on the belt tensioner fully for removing and installing the drive belt.
