ACTION Follow the procedure in this bulletin to install the new steering wheel switch chrome finisher(s) listed in the Parts Information section. NOTE: Do not replace the steering wheel assembly for this incident, if it should occur. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. See your Infiniti dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/4 SERVICE PROCEDURE NOTE: Installation of the LH side chrome finisher is shown in this procedure. Installation of the RH side chrome finisher is identical. 1. Use a dry cloth to remove any adhesive residue that may be on the switch. Figure 3 2. Confirm the proper orientation of the new chrome finisher by placing it on the switch and snapping it into place. NOTE: The finisher will not fit properly if it is upside down. Remove the new chrome finisher and carefully apply a small amount of adhesive to the two areas of the switch shown Figure 6. Use the adhesive listed in the Parts Information section. Use a pick tool or similar tool with a fine point to apply the adhesive. Align the new chrome finisher over the switch and press down until it snaps into place. 5. Inspect the area around the chrome finisher and make sure no adhesive is visable.
