2013-2014 Pathfinder (R52)
IF YOU CONFIRM
The customer reports or the technician confirms all of
the following:

The message "Parking Sensor Error" is displayed
in the vehicle’s meter after cranking or starting the
engine.

Only occurs after a vehicle has been cold soaked
for several hours at an outside temperatures of
-15°C (5°F) or below.

Does not display after the vehicle warms up and
the ignition has been cycled.

NOTE:

If the Parking Sensor Error message remains ON after the vehicle has warmed up
and the ignition has been cycled, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for
further diagnosis.

If the above conditions should occur, a combination of the following DTCs may be

ACTION
Replace the Sonar Control Unit.

Refer to the ESM, section SN-Sonar System, for replacement information.
NOTE: The replacement Sonar Control Unit will need to be configured. Refer to
INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT > ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING
SONAR CONTROL UNIT before removing the unit.
