SERVICE INFORMATION
For the Applied Vehicles, two (2) types of Power Moonroof “open operation” were made
available.
Type A
Type B
When the moonroof “open” switch
is pressed once, the roof will automatically:

Open all the way.
Open and stop slightly before the fully
open position.
NOTE:

Refer to the Owner’s Manual for complete moonroof operation instructions.

The open operation (Type A or Type B) is controlled by the moonroof motor
assembly.

As of September 1, 2015, ALL replacement moonroof motor assemblies have
the Type B open operation.
Vehicles built before 5N1AZ2M(**)FN265439 / September 1, 2015 have a Type A
moonroof open operation; vehicles built after this VIN/Date have Type B.
If a vehicle with Type A open operation has the moonroof motor assembly replaced
for any reason:

A moonroof motor assembly with Type B open operation will be supplied and will
operate differently (see above).
