ACTION 1. Disconnect the BROWN wire that is part of the Accessory Connector Harness used when the Kit was installed. 2. Please refer to the following SERVICE PROCEDURE which shows the wire which needs to be disconnected. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Write down all radio station presets. Presets AM FM 1 FM 2 SAT 1 SAT 2/3 Bass 1 2 Treble 3 Balance 4 5 6 Fade Speed Sen. Vol. 2. Disconnect both battery cables, negative cable first. Remove front kicking plate inner. Refer to INT-34, "FRONT KICKING PLATE: Removal and Installation - Inner" in the Electronic Service Manual. 4. Using a suitable tool, release metal clips (see Figure 1), then remove dash side finisher. CAUTION: Take great care removing the finisher, it is fragile. Figure 1 5. Remove the glove box. Refer to IP-24, "GLOVE BOX ASSEMBLY: Removal and Installation" in the ESM. 6. Identify the harness bundle shown in Figure 2 below. Figure 2 2/4 NTB16-040 7. Disconnect the harness end to make the harness bundle more accessible (Figure 3). Figure 3 8. Unwrap the harness bundle to expose the BROWN wire shown in Figure 4. Figure 4 9. Cut the BROWN wire and wrap the two ends with electrical tape to insulate (Figure 5). Figure 5 10. Bundle the wires together with electrical tape to further insulate them. 11. To isolate the bundle from rattles, wrap it with foam tape listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin. 12. Reassemble the vehicle in the reverse order of removal. 3/4 NTB16-040 13. Connect both battery cables, negative cable last. 14. Reset / initialize all applied systems i.e., radio, power windows, clock, sunroof, etc. Refer to the ESM as needed.
