AUXILIARY REAR HEAT
AND AIR CONDITION SYSTEM
Freightliner Trucks offers auxiliary HVAC
Freightliner trucks is now offering an auxiliary HVAC
system for rear cab comfort in M2 crew cab vehicles.
This new option is provided by Sportchassis and is
currently available to order in SpecPro.
Installed unit
What is it?
• New auxiliary HVAC system designed by Sportchassis
and installed at Freightliner PDI centers
• Unit is located beneath the hump in the cab floor (see
top picture)
• Ducting is routed up the C pillar and vents are located
in the headliner (see middle picture)
• Operated with in dash controls (see bottom picture)
• Cools by using existing oversized condenser unit under
the hood and a powerful blower unit with separate
controls
• Operates without taking any power from existing
system
• Alternative to the optional auxiliary HVAC black box
(689-003) located in the middle of the floor between
the seats
