IMPORTANT REMINDER
IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW FOR DEALERS TO DELIVER TO

A ected Vehicles
As soon as VINs for this Stop Delivery are de ned they will be published within this post, and will show
campaign WME1 open in PCSS.
As additional a ected vehicles are built, the list will be updated on a rolling basis.
Overview
Due to worldwide semiconductor bottlenecks at individual suppliers, the a ected vehicles were built
without a control unit for the electric steering column adjustment.
The electric adjustment of the steering wheel position is therefore not available on these vehicles.
For this reason, a neutral or customized steering wheel position must be set on the a ected vehicles
before delivery.
We are working with high priority to procure the required capacities of control units. As soon as these
control units are available, they will be retro t as part of workshop campaign WME2.

*Please note that vehicles from current production are added to this campaign on a daily basis. The
manufacturing period and the number of a ected vehicles may still change due to volatile availability of
the control units. Always check in PCSS for open campaigns by VIN.
Test instructions and remedial measures
The Technical Information for the adjustment of the steering wheel position will be published once
available.. This post will be updated with the latest information for dealers.
Please note that the actual retro tting of the control units on the a ected vehicles will be carried out
once parts are available via corresponding workshop campaign WME2 "Retro t control unit for steering
column adjustment".

Please inform all relevant dealer sta of this announcement..
The campaign is also assigned to the a ected vehicles in PCSS and can be viewed on all levels
including dealer level.
