Customer states:
 When starting the vehicle, the warning lamp for the electronic parking brake appears briefly together with the
text “Parking brake fault”.
Workshop findings:
The following DTC may be stored sporadically in the ABS control module, J104 (address word 0003):
 DTC U103100 (FlexRay data bus, no synchronization).
Technical Background
The software needs to be updated in the ABS control module.

An updated software was put into production.

SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the ABS control module, J104 (address word 0003), and suspension control module, J775 (address
word 0074) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary:

3. Proceed with basic settings for the electromechanical parking brake and the tire pressure monitoring system
afterward.
Note:
If after the software update the DTC remains in the ABS control module, J104 (address word 0003), then proceed
as follows:
1. Lock the vehicle.
2. Wait until sleep bus mode is activated.
3. Read the ABS memory log and delete any remaining DTCs in the ABS control module, J104 (address word
0003).
4. Reevaluate the vehicle.

 G10 for CPO Covered Vehicles – Verify Owner.
