Concern:
New maps with data status: model year 2016 (G)
Model Year:
As of 2009 up to 2013
Requirements:
The following are necessary in order to store the new navigation data to the PCM3.0 hard drive:
•
•
•
1
System version 2.24 on PCM3.0. If not: Update PCM3.0 using system software PCM3.0 V2.24
Multimedia Update Disk (supplied)1 .
License key (supplied) in order to generate the enabling code in the PIWIS information system.
The relevant workshop DVD (for Parts Info., see Workshop DVD).
It is not possible to update system version 2.22 and lower system versions directly to system version
2.24. Depending on the software version, a number of different system software updates may have
to be performed one after the other.

The following additional functions can be used on PCM3.0 after updating the system software to system
version 2.24, depending on vehicle equipment:
Navigation:
•
•
•
•
Bluetooth
•
•
Adaptation of the map display according to personal requirements (e.g. 3D map
setting/display and hide traffic messages, etc.) and display of these features as
a symbol on the map. Selection of these features by “touching” a symbol on the
screen.
When displaying the list of cities containing cities with identical names, the
“Details” button can be used to show an additional map with more information.
This makes it easier to select the destination you want.
Additional display of set route options (toll, highway, etc.) as symbols in the Navigation main menu.
When the detour query function is activated, a traffic message is displayed
(approx. 10 minutes before reaching a traffic jam). You can then choose to
“Detour”/”Ignore” the traffic jam or request further “Details”.
The internal telephone (only for telephone module [I-no. 9W1]) switches automatically to Handsfree Profile (HFP) mode if the mobile phone does not support the
SIM Access Profile (similar to SIM card inserted in PCM). Vehicle does not have to
be re-coded in the workshop.
Synchronization of call lists on mobile phone/PCM.

Please pass this information on to the customer!
Ordering
process:
ONLY for saving an additional navigation database:
If additional navigation data (e.g. America) is to be saved instead of the standard navigation data (e.g.
Europe = I-no. 610), the relevant additional equipment number (e.g. I-no. 615 = Navigation Software
North America) must be assigned to the vehicle.
You can get Porsche to assign this number by providing the following data:
•
•
•
Part number of retrofit kit
Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle to be converted
Order number used for ordering parts
IMPORTANT:
If you do not have the necessary data or if the data you have is incorrect, you CANNOT generate the
PCM navigation map material enabling code yourself using the supplied license key.
Once the order is confirmed, the additional equipment number can be found in the vehicle information
for the vehicle to be converted in the PIWIS information system in the Porsche Partner Network (PPN).
