Technical Background When servicing the air conditioning of the e-Golf, The repair manual in Elsa has special instructions and requires additional steps to be performed before evacuating and filling the refrigerant circuit. Service Before evacuating the refrigerant the GFF basic setting/ Filling Refrigerant Circuit under C5 Thermal management (Figure 1) must be performed to open all of the system valves. ODIS Service needs to be at version 2.15.1 or greater. WARNING: Failure to perform the GFF basic setting/ Filling Refrigerant Circuit test plan will result in parts of the air conditioning system remaining fully charged and under high pressure.
