CONDITION SUMMARY:
SITUATION:
There is no cold air blowing through the air vents when the Air Conditioning (A/C) has been
selected. Further investigation has found there is no/low refrigerant in the A/C system.
CAUSE:
The bolts retaining the Low Pressure (LP) and High Pressure (HP) pipes to the A/C
compressor are too long.
ACTION:
Follow the instructions below.

1.
Evacuate the A/C system (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 412-00: Climate
Control System - General Information - General Procedures - Air Conditioning
System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging).

WARNING:
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Electric Vehicle Authorised Person (EVAP) trained
technicians only.

Power Down the High Voltage (HV) system. Only technicians qualified to EVAP
level or higher are allowed to perform this procedure (see TOPIx Workshop Manual
section 414-01: Battery, Mounting and Cables - High Voltage System - General
Procedures - High Voltage System Power Down/Up - Front Traction and Auxiliary
Circuits).
3.

Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) cover.


Release the 2 pipes from the A/C compressor.
Remove and discard the 2 bolts.
5.

Renew the 2 A/C pipe seals.

6.

Install the 2 pipes into the A/C compressor.
Install the 2 new bolts.
Torque: 24 Nm

Install the NVH cover.

JLR EVAP trained technicians only.

Power Up the HV system. Only technicians qualified to EVAP level or higher are
allowed to perform this procedure (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 414-01:

Voltage System Power Down/Up - Front Traction and Auxiliary Circuits).
9.
Charge the A/C system (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 412-00: Climate
Control System - General Information - General Procedures - Air Conditioning
