What’s New
Safety Recall - Model year 2021 Cummins PX9 fuel hose assemblies may leak from the hoses between the fuel
pump and the remote filter head. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of a
fire. A repair is now available.
Introduction
Cummins Inc.​has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain model T270,
T280, T370, T380, T440/T470 and T480 vehicles.​
​ he fuel hose assembly may leak from the hoses between the fuel pump and the remote filter head. A fuel

leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of a fire.
Situation
746 chassis (677 U.S. and 69 Canada) T270, T280, T370, T380, T440/T470 and T480 vehicles manufactured from
June 30, 2020 through June 9, 2021 with Cummins PX9 Engines.
Resolution
Safety Recall
Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even​if the customer has no issue with the chassis.
1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their
chassis is on the list.

2. ​If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for "Complete" or "In
Process" next to the "C2465" Cummins campaign code prior to performing this repair.
3. Follow the procedures in Cummins C2465 Safety Recall to replace the two fuel hoses. Go to Cummins
QuickServe and refer to the Cummins Recall – C2465.

It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to sell or lease new v​ehicles covered by this recall until the
defect or noncompliance has been corrected.
Warranty
Go to Cummins QuickServe and refer to the Cummins Recall – C2465. File warranty claims through the
Cummins warranty system.
SIR will indicate chassis involved in this recall with the designator of "C2465" in the campaign field.
