BACKGROUND
Certain 2022 Civics manufactured in Canada by HCM were originally supplied with one remote Key Fob at time of
vehicle delivery due to the global chip shortage.
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
Owners of affected vehicles will be sent a notification of this campaign.
Do an iN VIN status inquiry to make sure the vehicle is shown as eligible.
Some vehicles affected by this campaign may be in your new or used vehicle inventory. Repair these vehicles before
they are sold.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Program the new key fob to the vehicle.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
NOTE:
•
Connect a 12V jumper to the battery while performing the registration function.
•
Check for aftermarket electrical equipment that could cause problems with keyless access operation.
•
While doing the registration, keep the remote away from computers.
•
Programming the remote also programs the keyless transmitter.
•
The body control module can store codes up to 6 remotes.
1. Connect the i-HDS to the data link connector (i-HDS).
2. Do the registration according to the "Immobilizer Setup Tool" screen.
3. Verify the remote related functions work normally with all remotes.
