Ticking noise can be heard from inside the rear of the cabin when sitting in the rear seats
Technical background
The noise can be heard when the engine is at operating temperature, after a drive cycle or an extended idle period, the noise is most evident
with the armrest lowered with all electrical consumers switched off.
The ticking noise occurs when the purge system is in operation, the vibrations emitted from the purge valve are then amplified through the fuel
pipes to the rear of the vehicle.
This is normal operation and no further investigation work is required as the vehicle is operating to specification.
