The following DTC’s may also be evident in 00D6 Light control left 2 (Matrix beam) and/or 00D7 Light control right 2 (Matrix beam)
C119C01 Fan for headlamp electrical error
C119D01 Fan 2 for headlamp electrical error
Technical background
Wiring harness routed incorrectly within the headlamp module at the rear of the headlamp, the noise and DTC’s are evident due to the harness
contacting the headlamp cooling fan

Measure
1) Remove the applicable road wheel - Rep.Gr 44

Remove the applicable front wheel arch liner - Rep.Gr 66
•
Locate the module at the rear of the applicable headlamp as Figure 1

The onward photographs are shown with the headlamp removed from the vehicle, NOTE: Headlamp removal is not required
2) Remove the three screws from the location shown (Figure 2)

3) Referring to Figure 3 – Gently pull up the module and slightly pull the harness to make it free as shown in Figure 4

4) IMPORTANT: Inspect the wiring harness, should any damage be evident the headlamp should be replaced, Refer to Rep.Gr 94 NOTE:
Should no damage be evident continue as instructed from step 5
5) Referring to Figure 5 (left hand module) – Gently push the harness to the desired position away from the cooling fan and pushing the harness
up to create a loop between the main connector and the unit

Referring to Figure 6 (right hand module) – Gently push the harness to the desired position away from the cooling fan and pushing the
harness up to create a loop between the main connector and the unit

Before conducting the next part of the procedure the operative MUST confirm the wiring harness does not and cannot
contact the cooling fan once the unit is secured back into position
6) Referring to Figure 7 - Refit the module, ensuring the seal is in the correct position

Referring to Figure 8 – Check and confirm the module is located correctly

7) Referring to Figure 9 – Refit the three screws and secure to 2.0 Nm

8) When the module is refitted the left hand module harness loop should be routed as shown (Figure 10)

9) When the module is refitted the right hand module harness loop should be routed as shown (Figure 11)

10) Clear any related DTC’s and check the functionality of the affected headlamp
11) Refit the applicable wheel arch liner - Rep.Gr 66

Refit the applicable road wheel – Rep.Gr 44
