Model(s) Year VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment Q5, SQ5 2018 All Wireless charging pad A4, A4 allroad, S4, A5, A5 Cabriolet, S5, S5 Cabriolet, RS 5, RS 5 Cabriolet, Q7, and SQ7 2017 All Wireless charging pad Condition Customer states: The mobile device (iPhone 12) cannot be charged wirelessly. In some cases, this is sporadic while in others, it is permanent. Workshop findings: No relevant DTCs are stored in the vehicle. One of the following phone box components is installed in the vehicle: 80A 035 502. 8W0 035 502A. 4M0 035 502. Technical Background Apple MagSafe technology is not compatible with the Qi standard. Service Unfortunately, there is no solution for this topic available on the vehicle side, as it is caused by the iPhone 12 not being fully compatible to the common wireless charging (Qi) standard. The device can be charged via USB instead. Warranty This concern is due to a third party system and is not covered by any Audi Warranty.
