TECHNICAL TOPICS BODY/CHASSIS Reduced d orr Lack k off Steering g Assistance e on n Start-up 20 0 – 21MY Y RR R Velar,, F-PACE E Customer Voice: – Customers may experience a reduced or lack of power assistance at start up, for up to 30 seconds before the power assistance returns. A reduced power assistance warning message is displayed. Technical Description: – The Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) software robustness on start-up can result in the module going into an error state for a period of time before a selfheal strategy is initiated, the control module will then automatically reset, resulting in recovered assistance. Status: – – – SSM 75521 (Land Rover) and 75522 (Jaguar) had been published to address this concern, providing instructions for a manual patch file. These SSMs have been removed since the latest PATHFINDER release has the updated PSCM software to address the concern without the need for a manual patch file.
