BULLETIN NUMBER: SB21-L-001 IMPORTANT SERVICE INFORMATION FOR: SERVICE MANAGER SERVICE ADVISOR TECHNICIAN PARTS DEPARTMENT WARRANTY PERSONNEL ISSUE DATE: JULY 2021 GROUP: FUEL & EXHAUST DTC P225C CALIBRATION UPDATE – REPROGRAM DEF CONTROL UNIT (DCU) AFFECTED VEHICLES 2021MY Isuzu F-Series Vehicles INFORMATION An investigation of returned NOx Sensors has shown that sensors are being unnecessarily replaced. We have identified a common occurrence of an illuminated Malfunction Indication Light (MIL) with DTC P225C NOx Sensor Offset High Error Sensor 1 set in the DEF Control Unit (DCU). Through the analysis of returned NOx Sensors, we have determined the sensors were not the cause of this DTC setting. This DTC may be resolved by reprogramming the DCU with the revised calibration. Follow the diagnostic for this DTC. If no mechanical fault can be found during normal diagnosis, follow the service procedure in this bulletin to correct the concern. SERVICE PROCEDURE If the calibration part number does NOT match the calibration number listed in the table below, reprogram the DCU with the latest software and calibration using the Isuzu Diagnostic Service System (IDSS): MY 2021 Vehicle F-Series Engine 5.2L Trans AUTO Calibration # 97684092 NOTE: If the calibration number IS listed above, follow the Intermittent Conditions diagnostics in the appropriate Workshop Manual.
