INFORMATION
An investigation of returned NOx Sensors has shown that sensors are being
unnecessarily replaced. We have identified a common occurrence of an illuminated
Malfunction Indication Light (MIL) with DTC P225C NOx Sensor Offset High Error Sensor
1 set in the DEF Control Unit (DCU). Through the analysis of returned NOx Sensors,
we have determined the sensors were not the cause of this DTC setting. This DTC
may be resolved by reprogramming the DCU with the revised calibration.
Follow the diagnostic for this DTC. If no mechanical fault can be found during normal
diagnosis, follow the service procedure in this bulletin to correct the concern.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
If the calibration part number does NOT match the calibration number listed in the table
below, reprogram the DCU with the latest software and calibration using the Isuzu
Diagnostic Service System (IDSS):
