Bulletin No.: PIT5867 Published date: 11/12/2021 Preliminary Information PIT5867 Airbag Warning Lamp or Service Airbag System Message Illuminated on Driver Information Center (DIC), DTC U3000 49 Models Brand: Model: Model Years: VIN: from to Engine: Transmissions: Cadillac Escalade Models 2021 - 2022 All All All All Chevrolet Suburban 2021 - 2022 All All All All Chevrolet Tahoe 2021 - 2022 All All All All GMC Yukon Models 2021 - 2022 All All All All Involved Region or Country North America Condition Some customers may comment on an Airbag Warning Lamp or service airbag message illuminated on the Driver Information Center (DIC). Technicians may nd DTC U3000 SYM 49 set current in the K36 Restraints Control Module (SDM). This condition will most likely occur on vehicles with under 100 miles and/or vehicle that are still in dealer inventory. Cause The K36 Restraints Control Module (SDM) has an Internal Electronic failure. Correction: If you experience this concern and DTC: U3000 SYM 49 is set current, please do not erase the DTC and replace the K36 Restraints Control Module (SDM). Engineering would like to get the part back in its failed state and resetting the code before replacing the module may erase important data. Note: Do not attempt to clear DTC’s. Clearing DTC’s will erase the needed information captured in the module. Note: The failed part must be returned through the special part return process.
