SECTION: 303-00 Engine MIL Illuminated with DTC P0505-8F and P2282-00 Stored and Misfire DTC May Be Stored AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE: LR2 (LF) Model Year: VIN: 2013 DH311358-DH353438 Range Rover Evoque (LV) Model Year: 2012-2013 VIN: CH000447-DH790067 MARKETS: NAS CONDITION SUMMARY: Situation: The engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may be illuminated and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0505-8F and P2282-00 stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM); misfire DTC P030x and P1315 may also be stored in the ECM. Cause: This may be caused by the intake manifold vacuum plug having fallen out. Action: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below. PARTS: NOTE: The cable tie should be 2.5mm wide X 1mm thick X 100mm long; to be locally sourced and claimed under 'ZZZ001'. LR052965 Kit - Intake plug Quantity: 1 TOOLS: Refer to Workshop Manual for any required special tools. WARRANTY: NOTE: Repair procedures are under constant review, and therefore times are subject to change; those quoted here must be taken as guidance only. Always refer to TOPIx to obtain the latest repair time. NOTE: DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero. SERVICE INSTRUCTION: 1. Read all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) using Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic equipment. 2. Remove the engine cover (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, Section 501-05). 3. Inspect the intake manifold for the presence of intake manifold plug: If the plug is missing or loose, continue to step 4. If the plug is not missing or loose, further investigation is required; to be carried out as a separate claim. 4. NOTE: Fit a new retaining ring only if the original retaining ring is missing. Install the new vacuum plug from the intake plug kit. If required, install the new retaining ring from the intake plug kit. If not required, discard the new retaining ring from the intake plug kit. 5. NOTE: Make sure tie strap is seated below the flange. Install the nylon tie strap between the retaining ring and the face of the locking ring: Pull the tie strap tightly around the retaining ring. Cut off any excess tie strap material. 6. Install the engine cover (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, Section 501-05). 7.
