Complaint:
Sporadic fault message in instrument cluster that low beam at left/right inoperable, however, low beam function is OK.
Fault code B178392 stored in LED headlamp control unit.
Cause:
Monitoring by LED headlamp control unit may be too stringent.
This can lead to frequent entries of fault code B178392.
Remedy:
If the fault is only stored, install software with addon 1658.
If fault code B178392 is active:
1. Allow vehicle CAN to go to sleep.
2. Awaken CAN, and switch on low beams + engine start and drive for a few meters (<3 km/h).
3.1. If fault code is stored, install addon 1658
3.2 If fault code B178392 remains active, the hardware has a fault and another fault code has additionally been stored.
3.3 Please follow XENTRY instructions for addidtional fault code
