Concerns:
Reversing camera
Information:
The customer complains that the image on the reversing camera view on the PCM screen is cloudy.
Drops and/or fogging are visible behind the reversing camera lens.
Ultrasonic parking assistant and reversing camera (M-no. 7X8)
Ultrasonic parking assistant with Real Top View (M-no. 8A4)
This may be caused by joint tolerances of the components
in the reversing camera area as well as tolerances in the
thickness of the body seam seal. They can cause the
release for the rear lid in which the reversing camera is
installed to touch the rear lid. If this happens, there is a
gap between the release and the rear lid that can allow
water to penetrate into the reversing camera.

Information
In most cases, it is sufficient to remove approx. 2-3 mm/ 0.08 — 0.12 in of material. Therefore,
install the rear lid release in between and check the installation position after you have removed
some material. Then, remove more material if necessary.
