Condition
Customer states:
• The average long-term energy consumption displayed in the instrument cluster is implausibly low.
• This occurs after approximately 3000 miles driven.
• If the long-term memory is reset, the energy consumption is displayed correctly until another 3000 miles are
driven.
Technical Background
A software malfunction in the instrument cluster causes the displayed values to be inaccurate.
Production Solution
Optimized software in Audi virtual cockpit implemented in current series production.

This TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) TSB 2063789/1.

Technical Service Bulletin
• SVM code.
• Audi virtual cockpit software update on USB Flash drive (see Required Parts and Tools or download the software
from MirrorServer using the SD Creator Program).
Time to complete update:
• Approximately 30-60 minutes (includes 20-50 minutes for the software update and 10 minutes for the SVM
work).
Service work:
• Update the Audi Virtual Cockpit using either Method 1 or Method 2 according to TSB 2060523: 91 MIB3
Software Update Instructions and use SVM code 17A040.
Tip: The vehicle key has to be placed on the emergency key reader coil to start and during the update.
Please use the warranty information in this TSB and not the information stated in TSB 2060523.
Method 1: Automated update using ODIS.
Method 2: Manual update due to SVM code or Server issues.
